I recently researched AI-driven UX courses available in 2025. By “AI-driven,” I mean courses that go beyond just explaining generative AI fundamentals and focus on teaching how to design for AI systems.
I encountered a challenge: about 95% of today’s UX/AI courses (from what I found) merely teach how to use AI in the design process – things like writing ChatGPT prompts for user research, generating Midjourney images, or ideating through AI conversations. This wasn’t what I wanted, as this knowledge is both widely available and quickly outdated. Take prompt-based interaction, for example. It’s currently quite unintuitive, with inexperienced users struggling to formulate effective queries. You might spend time mastering prompt engineering, only to have those skills become obsolete when the next ChatGPT version introduces a more user-friendly interface.
I wanted to find courses that teach how and when to integrate AI into user workflows properly, and how to avoid overemphasizing AI just because it’s trendy. Today’s digital product designers must embrace AI’s importance while taking a strategic approach to understanding how it can enhance user experience and add value by addressing core user needs. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find many courses offering this kind of knowledge.
Nonetheless, while my search yielded limited results, I’ve compiled the most valuable UX+AI courses for 2025 below.
